Senior Social Hockey is going great guns at the moment!
Congratulations to the players for their dedication. The Club hopes that everyone is enjoying the extended social hockey opportunities. If anyone has any feedback, please send this to info@starsicehockey.com.au and we will address it and get back to you.
Monthly payments for Senior Social Hockey is now being done online. By the first Monday of every month, players would have gone onto the online payment system and paid for the month's worth of ice hockey. This is a secure website! No credit card details are kept on the system after payment has been accepted. Your details are not shared with any third parties either.
Go to www.starsicehockey.com.au and click on the Senior Social Hockey tab, and then the Pay Online starburst in the left navigation column. Details of the costs and schedule are placed on this page and updated.
Don't forget that to participate in the Senior Social Hockey, you need to pay your 2008/09 Registration and Insurance. If you have not paid for this yet, you can still play Social Hockey - but first - click on the Online Registration System link on the Home Page of the Stars website. Pay your registration and insurance and then pay for your Social Hockey. Senior Registration for 2008/09 is $220.00.
Check out the new SMS system that the Stars have implemented for notification via mobile phone.

Junior Stars
Sunday morning Training has re-commenced.
Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday mornings 9.30am.
This year we are looking forward to running an inhouse (Stars Only please) Junior league. Its a little different to what you 've seen before so stay tuned......
We need a couple of volunteers to help bring the tea and coffee to Sunday mornings... Any volunteers?

Senior Social Hockey
Senior Social Hockey is due to commence at Acacia Ridge for all interested players on Wednesday 5th March and Thursday 6th March at 9.00pm at the Acacia Ridge rink. The first two sessions and will be the drop in sessions for the Senior Social Hockey players only.
Cost will be $15.00 each player.
To play, you must be registered with IHQ by 29th February 2008.
If you are not registered, YOU CANNOT SKATE! To register with the Southern Stars, Online payments are accepted through the Southern Stars website www.starsicehockey.com.au
On Wednesday 12th March, each player will be required to pay $45.00 each for the next three weeks worth of ice.
From April
PLEASE NOTE: Your future ice time will be paid for by the month. This will be payable on line. Your Team Manager will be responsible for paying the team fee through the online system. TEAM MANAGERS - Please contact me for info on how to do this. The cost for the month will be $715 per team. No further costs will be payable during the month by the team members. This is all of your games for the Senior Social Hockey games for the month. This equates to $55.00 per month per player, regardless whether the month is a four or five week month.
As per the Summer Season, there will be no refunds if players pull out for one night, similarly, there will not be any concessions for the players who want to play for just one night in the month.
A maximum of 13 players per team will be allowed. This includes the Goalie!
Guys - this is about the commitment to the sport. We need to book ice and need to know numbers for the ice bookings. Your support will be appreciated.

Southern Stars AGM and Christmas Party
Thank you to all those to came to the AGM and Christmas Party at Daisy Hill Koala Centre on Saturday. THe parents had a very relaxing lunch and the kids had lots of fun visiting the Koalas and feeding Kangaroos around the picnic areas.

Summer Season Conclusion
Recently at the IHQ meeting (21.11.07), it was decided to revert back to the Winter Season.
Due to this decision, the current Summer Season will conclude for Seniors on or around the 16th December and the Juniors on the 9th December. These dates are the last of the Summer Season games being played on Sunday afternoon and evenings. A break will then held for Christmas.
The new season will commence on the 1st March 2008. The only hockey being conducted during the months of January and February for the Southern Stars will be the Sunday mornings for Junior and Seniors and the Senior Social games on Monday nights.
All players from all clubs are welcome to participate in these events. Further details for the events can be obtained by email info@starsicehockey.com.au or contacting Kathy 0422 989 910
